April 17th, 2012 -
Daniel Miller scored his third victory of the
season this past Saturday at Duck River Speedway in the
D&D Motorsports/Team GRT/KUNTZ Powered super late model.
Returning back to the scene where
the team took back to back victories last week in the
super and 2 barrel divisions, they were ready to back it
up for Saturday. The team, brought back both their super
late model and crate late model bullets.
In the super action, Miller
qualified in the second spot with a 12.92 second lap
around the smooth surface of Duck River Speedway,
setting Miller up starting to the outside of Charlotte,
Tenn.’s #27 Chuck Proctor in the 25 lap main event. When
the feature got rolling and the green flag fell, Miller
used the high side to get out front ahead of Proctor
early. Once out front Miller never looked back, as the
race went caution free and cruised to his third
checkered flags of the 2012 season for the D&D
Motorsports/Millers Used Car/Paul Miller Auto Service/
Bates Septic Service sponsored GRT super late model.
2 Barrel action saw Miller qualify
second behind pole sitter #18 Matt Odneal. In the
feature, Miller would start alongside Odneal, the two
would go door-to-door for a lap and Odneal would get out
ahead of Miller on the next circuit around the speedway.
Miller settled in the second spot and would chase the
#18 Odneal for
the remainder of the 20 lap feature and bring home a
second place finish in the 2 barrel.

April
9, 2012- Daniel Miller drove to double
victories Saturday evening at Duck River Speedways
season opener. Miller would claim the top spot in the
super late model division and also in the 2 barrel
division.
After
a rocky start to the 2012 season and not finding success
early as they did in 2011, the team regrouped and went
back to the basics of what found them success in 2011.
The team returned to Duck River Speedway Saturday night,
after getting washed out from racing the previous week.
In the D&D Motorsports/Miller’s
Used Cars/Bates Septic Service/KUNTZ Powered/ GRT super
late model, Miller would go out and qualify a blistering
lap of 12.47 seconds around the speedway and set quick
time on the field. Miller would start on the pole for
the 25 lap event, as the field took the green flag,
Miller got out front and would never look back, the only
challenge Miller would have would come from a late race
caution, as the field would be bunched back up for a
green/white/checkered finish. On the restart, the #56 of
David Gentry would make a run at Miller but came up
short, Miller would cruise on to claim his first victory
of the 2012 season.
In 2 Barrel action, Miller would
qualify fifth on the field of 10 cars. Starting mid
pack, Miller knew he had to work a little harder to
reach victory circle. Starting fifth, Miller and the
rest of the field took the green, Miller would bob and
weave his way through traffic, eventually reaching the
second spot before a caution would wave. Miller would
restart behind race leader #302 of Robert Stutts, the
two cars were running the bottom of the racing surface
before the caution came out. Miller decided to try his
luck on the high side of the track, as Stutts would
continue to run the bottom on the restart. As Miller
come out of turn two, he pulled up along Stutts going
down the back straight away, continuing to run each of
their lines, Miller High and Stutts low, coming off of
turn four Stutts would drift up in front of Miller with
no room for error, the two would get together and Stutts
would spin. Miller received minor damage and would be
able to continue and inherit the leading spot, as Stutts
wasn’t able to continue. Restarting in the leading spot,
Miller would go on to lead the remaining few laps left
and take win number two for the night.
Miller and the D&D Motorsports team
will be back in action this upcoming Saturday April 14,

would start in the fourth spot amongst the 23 car field.

out of turn two. The field was reset with no laps
completed.
The green flag waved and Miller
took to the high side of the track, holding the fourth
spot and fighting off a challenge from #R1 Riley Hickman
before another caution fell. Restarting fourth, Miller
came out of turn two and Hickman would get by him,
riding fifth Miller settled in and began to find his
groove, while battling with Clarksville’s #75 Carnell
Parker, Parker would take fifth from Miller dropping him
to sixth.
Another caution would wave for a
spun car, restarting sixth Miller started to work the
middle of the track and began to get his rhythm and let
KUNTZ powered GRT Chassis work, working his way through
traffic, Miller started picking off cars with clean
passes. Miller worked his way up to the third spot
before caution waved on lap 20 for the slowed up car of
second place running of Hickman. Miller would gain the
second spot as Hickman would exit the race.
Restarting second, going into turn
one, Miller was forced up out of the groove and would
drop back to the fourth position. Regaining control of
the car, Miller held the fourth spot while fending off
#F36 Cale Finley, on the next circuit around the
speedway Miller and Finley went into turn one, eyeing
the same piece of real estate on the track, the two cars
would tangle, Finley would spin and Miller’s car would
cut a power steering hose. Miller exited the speedway
and end up with a 13th place finish.

place finish at Moulton Speedway (Moulton, Al.) Saturday
night.
Miller would qualify 9th for the
feature amongst the 20 car field of super late model in
attendance at Moulton Speedways opening night of racing.
When the green flag fell for the
feature, Miller took to the low side exiting turn two
and taking the eighth spot, a couple of laps clicked by
before the first caution waved and Miller held the eight
position. On the restart, Miller took to the top of the
track, having the momentum exiting turn two and down the
back stretch, Miller was up to fourth, before getting to
the turn three, that effort would be depleted, as
caution would wave for a spun car. Restarting eighth,
Miller had to check up, as the #59 of Allen Holmes broke
his rear end in front of Miller. Miller fell back to the
10th spot, gathering it up and working the lower part of
the speedway, Miller began picking off the field of
competitors, working his way up to the third spot as the
laps wound down. Miller would settle in and make a run
at second place, but ran out of laps. Miller finished in
the third spot in the D&D Motorsports. KUNTZ Powered,

Motorsports team will be heading to Moulton Speedway
(Moulton, Al.) this Saturday March 17th, 2012 for its
Season Opener.
March 1st, 2012 -Daniel Miller drove the
D&D Motorsports team GRT chassis to a tenth place finish
at Winchester Speedway’s annual Winterfest on February
25, 2012.
On the Saturday afternoon race at
Winchester Speedway, Miller and team prepared the KUNTZ
Powered GRT Chassis for the day time conditions of
racing on the slick surface of Winchester
Speedway. Miller
would go out in the third group of qualifying and put
down a solid lap of 15.24 seconds in his qualifying
efforts, he would qualify third quick in his group and
be locked in to the main event to start 12th,
eliminating him from having to run a heat race.
When the main event rolled around
for the 40 lap feature, Miller and team made all the
final adjustments to make a run at the $3000 pay day. As
the green flag dropped for the 25 car field, Miller
starting mid pack, stayed to the high side of the track
to avoid any damage until an opening fell in line to
fall in the bottom groove of the one lane track. Holding
11th position, Miller began working on the 10th place
car of Jerry Ashley before a caution would wave on lap
10. On the restart, Miller jumped to the outside and
would take the 10th spot from Ashley, Two more laps went
by before the second caution fell of the event with
Miller holding 10th. The next restart, Miller set his
sights on the 9th place running of Josh Johnson, Miller
started out strong to make a move on Johnson but the
daytime conditions and the slick surface wasn’t ideal
for passing. Miller made a few runs on Johnson to get
pass him for the 9th position but it just didn’t
prevail. Two more cautions would wave on the 40 lap
event and Miller tried to get pass Johnson for the 9th
spot but never could get a run. Miller would go on to
finish in the 10th position for Winchester Speedway’s
Annual Winterfest Event.
